I’m the first to admit that I’m not very good at sewing, but I did use ribbons and lace for some wedding cards I made a few years ago:

Then there are my Mum’s tapestries which we took out of their frames and stitched them onto cushions when we were on the boat.

Pillows are a really good thing made of fabric. Only good memories associated with pillows.
Thanks Dan.
The cards you made are really pretty, and I love the pillows! 🙂
Thank you!
Very pretty.
Thanks Iris.
A beautiful collection of your cards, clever you. You obviously take after your mum talent wise I love her cushions. 💜💜
Mum spent hours doing the tapestries and then having them professionally framed. We couldn’t hang them on the boat, hence the cushions. We still have them, no way would I not keep them. They are so precious a reminder of Mum’s love in doing them.
And your love for her 💜💜
❤❤❤
Did the person who you made the wedding cards for like them? Those were some fancy cards! X
I made four to give her a choice, and as it was a case of having two brides, she chose the red rose and wedding rings. Sadly they parted company before they took their vows! I still have the others in my emergency box for anyone who is looking for something unique.
