CFFC: 12th February

Dan Antion is now our host and you can join in with Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge here
(so glad he’s keeping the challenge name and logo)
Our challenge this week is for photos where black is a dominant color relative to a different color.
First choice is easy: Maggie
Β

Then we have my moon shots:

Black and white duck on our local lake, black swan from my trip to NZ.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

A crescent moon is very hard to capture. Good work.

All great photos, but (probably no surprise) Maggie stole the show 100% I love those first two photos. Our dogs always took over the furniture.

    • We still miss her Dan. It’s been over four years now, but we are so glad to have Maya, totally different and has made her own place in our hearts.

It’s the same here. We miss Maddie, but we haven’t tried to find another. Saying goodbye was too hard.

      • I know, and I am so sorry for your loss. I said no more dogs, but after 3 months my husband said I was useless without one so we started looking. I wanted a shepherd this time as they are my favourite breed, but it still took us a year to find her. She was worth it though.

I’m happy for you. I’m not ruling it out. We had four over the course of 40 years, and a bunch of cats.

      • I’ve always had a dog though there was a family cat when I was a kid. Maya is hard work as she’s so strong, but there are so many pluses, it makes it all worthwhile.
