All Quiet on the Thursday Front

It has been a busy day as once again we were trying to beat time to an appointment having been thwarted by roadworks and a diversion that sent us off in the opposite direction. To cut a long speedy journey short, Hubby arrived one minute late, and abandoned the car in the car park leaving me to park it.
From there we went into town and I was able to post date some bank transfers after the bank holiday, then we got a snack from Greggs to tide us over until we got home for dinner.

Maya met a rather large seven year old GSD x Husky today. He was gorgeous and apart from being more tri-colour than cream and white, was very much like Kela.

Our neighbour was with us as she had a Covid booster today, and all three of us had a fuss with this gentle giant. She wanted to bring him home, and said he could sit on her lap in the car. Maya rubbed noses and had kisses, not objecting at all for him to have some of her treats out of my pocket. It was a lovely moment.

Hubby has been out to purchase a new mattress for the spare bedroom this afternoon as the one we have is not very thick and he can feel the wooden slats through it. It was on special offer and today has been a day of discounts as when I bought my new slippers and a few things for the freezer, there was a promotion on and I saved £5 on my shopping bill!

Not much else going on really hence why I’m quiet.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

It was quiet in my scorching city today, as most people must be on the beaches.

All good news! Now that is a good day!

    • It was indeed a good day. Yesterday was also good and Maya had the opportunity to play with some other dogs on the beach early in the morning, and today has been much of the same with more dogs of different sizes. I love days like these.
