Welcome to Share your World.
There are two ways in which you can participate:
Leave your answers to this week’s questions in the comments box below or create your own post.
To make it easy for others to check out your post, title your blog post “Share Your World” and link it to this one.
Ping-backs are activated, but don’t always work properly.
To play safe, leave a link in a comment, just to be sure or if you prefer, leave just the link if you don’t have anything else to chat about.
Instructions on how ping-backs work are found by clicking here. Thanks!
Melanie always included an optional gratitude section at the end and I see no reason to change that.
Here are this week’s questions:
- Growing up, were you closer to your mother or father, or was it a balance of both depending on the circumstances?
- What was your favourite toy as a child, and do you still have it?
- Did you have any secrets?
- What did you want to be when you grew up, and are you anywhere close?
Gratitude:
There is something to be grateful for every day, embrace it.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
I wanted to be a vet 🐩
I wanted to be a policewoman, but then my sister wanted to be one, so I shelved that idea. When I was 16 and about to leave school, I wanted to work in a bank but the careers teacher said I didn’t have the brains to. I would have loved to have seen her face when I was a financial analyst for an American Bank and my reports went direct to the New York Head Office! Previous to that, I was an official bank signatory.

Growing up, were you closer to your mother or father, or was it a balance of both depending on the circumstances? – We were all closer to our mum, especially after dad died when we were young. Mum did marry again but it was short lived. She knew that none of us really got on with our step-father for various reasons.
What was your favourite toy as a child, and do you still have it? – ‘Subuteo’ table soccer was my favourite toy, and also my brother’s. We were still playing it in our early teens. My brother still has some ‘teams’ in boxes…somewhere 🙂
Did you have any secrets? – one or two.
What did you want to be when you grew up, and are you anywhere close? – I wanted to be in a band. It happened but it was more or less my five minutes of fame.
At least you fulfilled a dream. many of us don’t get to do that. Thanks for joining in.

I wanted to be a writer. I was a writer. I’m still writing. AND I have a duplicate of my original favorite doll.
Yay! I still have my bear though he’s a bit bald now.
I gave the original doll to the daughter of my friend, but when I was able, I bought a new one because I missed her 😀
That is so lovely.
Annabelle was always special 😀
