The day started miserable and I woke up cold so Hubby put the heating on for half an hour. I’d gone to bed last night with the tail end of one of the worst headaches I’d had in years. Sugar didn’t seem to fix it, so I fell back on plan B, which was salt. Any excuse for a bag of crisps.
I didn’t have that good a night, and woke up with a sore throat, but no headache. I had a lemsip with my breakfast and trying to drink loads, but it’s painful, as is talking (stop cheering!).
Luckily, we have a good supply of throat lozenges in the first aid kit, so I have been sucking on them for most of the day, took two paracetamol after lunch (and hours after the lemsip) and have now had some hot water with honey.
I am not feeling myself (or anyone else actually) so signing off for today. I think I’ve got all the pingbacks and comments sorted.
Back tomorrow.

Feel better soon Di! 🙂
Thanks. Off to bed
Sending healing thoughts through the ether…
Thanks Pam
Hopefully the exit by the headache means you are on the road to recovery – even if a slow one.
Bundle up and rest! Feel better soon
Thank you
Hugs. Hope you’re better in the morning 💜
thanks
Get better 💜😀
working on it.
I hope you feel better soon, Di.
Thanks Fandango
No fun at all. Hope you feel better real soon. ❤
Thanks Barbara
HOpe you get well soon Di! Bad headaches are miserable. Caffeine seems to help mine, but if you want to sleep, that won’t work.
thanks Carolyn.
You are welcome!
Ohhh, my Di, I am praying for a swift recovery. No need to reply to this comment, lady, just REST! (You may try the equivalent of a Starbucks ‘medicine ball’ if you can… it is their Jade Citrus Mint Green Tea, Peach Tranquility Herbal Tea, hot water, steamed lemonade, and a hint of honey. If you’re really stuffed up, add a little peppermint as well. I also get it with LIGHT lemonade, otherwise it is too sweet). Hope that helps a little, love.
Thanks, but sadly no starbucks here, but having hot milk and honey.
Oh, Di, I am so very sorry to hear that. 😔 This makes me want to send you the tea.
Bless you. I’m doing OK though, but thanks for the thought.
Glad to hear that 💜
🙂 Get well soon, my dear.
Thank you Renard

You’re welcome
Hope you’re feeling better.
Thanks Deb
Feel better soon. Pleased you have that supply of those, last time I looked out supermarket was out of all cold medicine.
We have lots of lempsips, but I’ve just discovered all of our throat sweets (lockets/soothers etc) are almost 3 years out of date and have gone like toffee. Urgh!!
Hope you get better soon Di. 🤗
Thanks Chris
Suck on a ‘Fisherman’s Friend’, I’m sure hubby won’t mind! Get well soon.
Hate fisherman’s friends, though they work for him. Got some Soothers now!
We’re big on eating locally grown honey comb when feeling sick!! Good luck to you!! ~Di
Thank you! I like honeycomb, but it usually has ice cream or chocolate round it. I’ve never had it fresh from the hive. Bet it tastes divine.
I get a couple every year at the farmers market. It is delicious!!
Yum.
