My apologies: this went out a day early and in order to respond to comments had to stay here until I caught up. CRAFT moment I’m afraid and have no rescheduled it correctly.
Welcome to Truthful Tuesday, a prompt originally set by PCGuyIV, covered by Melanie and now one I am temporarily hosting until he wants to take it back.
Unlike Fibbing Friday, the concept is quite simple in that I ask a question and you reply honestly and truthfully.
You can either leave your reply in the comments or write your own post and pingback to this one, then leave a link in the comments so that I can find it.
My question this week is
Do you allow your pet to sleep on the furniture?
Yep, I hold my hand up, Maggie always slept with me.
Maya on the other hand has never tried and will not be encouraged!

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
You’re a day early with this prompt. I’ll get to this on Tuesday.
I know. Duh moment (blush)
When I used to have dogs there was odd occasion I allowed them up. But mostly they were on the floor or in their bed.
As for cats, they slept where they wanted.
I think cats usually do, but I am more of a dog person. Maggie was the exception, but then on the boat it was just as well she was used to sleeping with us as there was nowhere else for her to sleep.
My pets sleep wherever they want to. Missy had the double bed in the caravan, whilst I was relegated to the bunk bed
Luckily it was never that bad for us as Maggie used to curl up in the corner of the caravan, the boat, and the back of the car when we slept i that at one stage.
Gatsby sleeps with me when he wants and loves the sofa too! 😻
Bless him. I’m a day early with this I’m afraid
No never 💜
Day early. got my schedules muddled up. Thanks for the comment! Ruby is a good girl. How’s she doing?
Mochi is permitted on the furniture in the family room and has 2 spots with her beds – one on the sofa and the other in one of the recliners. She is NOT permitted on the beds or on the living room sofa/loveseat. So far she has not expressed an interest in sleeping in any of the bedrooms and that is completely fine with us!
That’s good. Maya is not allowed on the furniture or the beds as she has her own, and luckily knows it. I got my dates mixed up and have rescheduled TT for tomorrow. I could of course blame putting the clocks forward, but 25 hours is a lot different than one!
It is only Monday over here today.
Same here Jim. My error and I’ve rescheduled it for tomorrow

I’d never allowed my dogs on the furniture in the house since I was a teen. Pre- cancer, Annie was happy to rest on her dog beds present all over the house. As I dealt with my cancer, I changed things up and welcomed Annie on the couch and on the bed. Her comforting presence has been good for my soul.
I can relate to that. There were times I could not sleep without Maggie being nestled behind my knees. Just knowing she was there was a comfort. Annie is probably picking up on your feelings and bringing you comfort in the only way she knows how….. being close.
Exactly

I know mum used to always encourage them, so I sort of did the same when I had dogs. Sometimes I forgot to close the doors inside the house and the muddy paws got everywhere when returning from walks.
Yes, we have that and when summer comes, will be hiring a rug doctor to clean the carpets! We are managing to train Maya to stop by the door so that we can dry her feet. Maggie always used to roll over for us, but that would be expecting too much from Maya.
