For the visually challenged writer, the photo shows a female student sitting at her desk in the back of a classroom with a pensive expression on her face.
Megan was bored. The day was dragging and English was not one of her favourite subjects. She much preferred drama, where she could act out some of her fantasies and pretend to be someone else.
They were casting for the school end of year play and she had her heart set on a supporting role knowing there was no way she land would a leading part.
This year they were doing A Midsummer Night’s Dream, so there were several stories entwined within Laird’s popular comedy so perhaps she’d be lucky.
Her mind drifted to Titania and Oberon, and she imagined herself in a filmy negligee that would double as a costume. She would glide and dance as the fairies gathered, graceful and elegant, dainty and serene.
Miss Sharp rapped her ruler on Megan’s desk, snapping her out of her musings.
‘Oh fuck,’ she said under her breath.
‘So, you were listening! Indeed Puck was Robin Goodfellow, a mischievous sprite who had his own magic…………..’
Megan was grateful that Miss Sharp was indeed a trifle deaf, and suddenly the image of her teacher playing Puck in his Ass’s head made her snort with laughter.

You’re welcome. How’s the physio going?
A lot of work and a lot of icing after each session.
Hope it’s paying off though. Take care.
Was Miss Sharp a trifle deaf because she had custard and sponge fingers in one ear and jelly and fruit in the other? 🙂
Nah, it was yogurt.
Ha love it 😂
Thank you!
Excellent 👍
