Catching up on the To Do list

The bathroom is finished and fully operational, with Hubby’s step making it a lot easier to get in and out of the shower, especially out.
The snag list has one thing left on it, and that is to repair a chipped tile. Hubby is working on that and it looks like he will be experimenting with his artistic skill there.
He has finished making the blocks to raise the head of the single bed in the spare room. These are now in position and should help enormously with his reflux.

Spring is in the air, the clocks will be going forward this weekend, and the lawn has just had its first hair cut of 2023.
It has been a lovely sunny day today, and with a good wind, the washing was done and out on the line before 9am. It was dry before midday, so we are all up straight for a few more days.

It’s been a busy week:
Monday I took our friend to the surgery to have her foot checked and dressed, Tuesday was vet day, yesterday Hubby saw the consultant who has promised ‘to get him sorted’, and Hubby has a blood test early tomorrow, so today is the first day we’ve had ‘nothing on’. We’ve still been busy though!!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  2. The bathroom looks amazing, and I know you must both be loving it. My question is, has Maya hD the pleasure yet?

  3. I’ll look forward to hearing all about it when she does

Looks great! Odd question, but one I always ask when I see a bathroom: where’s the toilet?

    Great job 💜💜

  7. I am glad you have had a lovely sunny day Di, we have had rain all this week with only matginal partially sunny days, but mostly overcast grey, tomorrow is supposedly really terrible! If that’s the case l have to ask if tonight’s poor weather which started at 4pm got the memo about the storms being tomorrow and not now?

    • We always look at the weather reports and radar (got in the habit on the boat), and wonder where exactly they are talking about as we don’t always get what they forecast for our area. These past few nights it has been raining heavily from about 11pm to 4am, but the days are sunny and we’ve been able to get the washing dry outside. We’re supposed to have rain again tonight. Glad it’s that way round actually……… can hardly have sunny nights LOL.
