Here are your questions for this week:

1.   Do you use an ‘air freshener’ in your home/car/office? (solid, gel, spray, pot pourri, etc)

2.   How often do you clean the oven or microwave?

3.   Do you use a fabric conditioner in your laundry and/or fragranced tumble drier sheets?

4.   If you have the choice, do you prefer to get your laundry dry outside on a line or use a tumble drier?

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

      Thanks for joining in. I prefer to dry things outside. We use essentials oils occasionally in the lounge, and have a timed air freshener spray in the bathroom but that isn’t used every day or all day.

    2. How often do you clean the oven or microwave? – I wipe down the micro-wave after every time I use it. The oven is a different matter!

    3. Do you use a fabric conditioner in your laundry and/or fragranced tumble drier sheets? I use those ‘pods’ each time.

    4. If you have the choice, do you prefer to get your laundry dry outside on a line or use a tumble drier? – I always use my tumble drier now, except for certain clothes not meant for it.

      Thanks for sharing your world Glyn. I find it fascinating that once again many clothes and fabrics state DO NOT TUMBLE DRY. Some new property developments do not allow washing lines, and living on a boat or a caravan doesn’t always give you the choice.

    I don’t use any air freshener, although I do love my essential oil diffuser. The other questions don’t really apply, since my staff do my laundry. Your gratitude quote is so fitting! By the way, I’m not seeing any other comments, so haven’t you approved any yet or are there problems with WordPress yet again?

      I’m late accessing my blog again as we’ve been doing a lot of running around today. We’ve got a busy week ahead too. Thanks for commenting. We use essential oil s too but our diffuser packed up so now we use a dish over a candle.

        Oh okay, thanks for letting me know. Thanks also for sharing about your essential oil use. Please be aware that most oils won’t have the same properties (and hence scent or therapeutic effect should you believe in that) when heated as happens with the candle method.
