Not much going on here

We were looking forward to a quiet day and have got our wish.
I did a little bit of shopping this morning, including a few things for our friend who looked after Maya for us yesterday. I made ginger and pineapple chicken with rice today and took a portion round for her too.
True to his word, I have received an appointment in 8 weeks with the Consultant I saw yesterday about my back. Hopefully I will get some answers then and find out where we go from here.  I have been practically pain free today so no need for any pain killers though I will take the amitriptyline tonight to help me sleep.

Hubby walked Maya up to meet me at the supermarket and this afternoon we both walked her round the block. She’d had a couple of ‘off days’ but seems to be back on track now and not pulling on the lead. We played with her indoors this evening and she was quite content to share her toys with us as it meant she had our full attention.
We did some obedience training too, but she is learning to anticipate what we want her to do, so we shall have to change our tactics a little. She’s coming along very well though.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I’m glad your pain has eased. That chicken and rice dish sounds nice.
I’m actually out tonight to watch a comedian called Johnny Cowling. Have you heard of him?

    • Thanks Glyn. My ginger and pineapple chicken is easy to make and this time I added some green and red peppers for colour.
Sadly not heard of Johnny Cowling. Enjoy the show.

The ginger and pineapple chicken looks delicious!

    • It is always tasty as I use the juice from the tinned pineapple to make the sauce with a little extra water, some cornflour to thicken and a stock cube, add soy sauce, either powdered ginger or fresh ginger, a clove of garlic, 2 teaspoons of sugar and red and green peppers for a bit of colour.
