Drawing the line……………..

This is a picture of three of the same car lined up but they look like a small, medium, and large.
This is my take:

They say size matters, but sometimes things can get a little out of hand.
Jerry and Jean had finally raked together enough money to buy a small SUV to enjoy in their retirement.
They’d only had it a week when Sid and Sheila had to buy the same model but in the next category. Seeing the two vehicles side by side took the shine off Jerry and Jean’s pride and joy to the extent that they wished they’d gone for a nice Fiesta instead.
However, they did smile when Dave and Delilah bought the top of the range model which dwarfed the other two. Sid and Sheila however did not see the funny side, especially when Dave drove smoothly by with Delilah acting as Queen Bee in the passenger seat.

Jerry and Jean consoled themselves that the running costs of their modest choice was considerably less than those of the other two. They decided to get a dog, and soon Digger was a welcome addition to their family. He was a cute black and white cockapoo and certainly lived up to his name.
Not to be outdone, Sid and Sheila bought a doberman, which surprisingly made friends with Digger and the four were soon walking their dogs together, leaving their SUVs at home.
It was when the horsebox arrived outside Dave and Delilah’s that the others called time.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
