Well, it has arrived. The wind has been blowing all night and Hubby is so glad he did the repairs to the mortar of the ridge tiles when he noticed it a few months ago. Our logic has always been to deal with a problem as soon as it’s known about rather than leave it until it becomes a crisis.
It is cold and still very windy, but we have rotations of snow, sleet and rain within minutes. It’s too wet for the snow to pitch though, which is a blessing.
We are glad we are on the coast as further inland they are under about an inch of snow, so Hubby left for his blood test in plenty of time just in case.
All good, and he’ll have another in a fortnight. The calendar is filling up again!

I actually wondered how the snow would be for you. I thought you would have got it bad too.
It started here yesterday for me where I live. But it was only todsy when I got up this morning to find it had settled. Quite a few inches in places where I am.
Keep warm.
Thanks Liz, you too. We’ve had snow here every year (I have photos of a white beach!) but it doesn’t last very long. It’s the wind that is most bitter. We have lovely sunshine now!
Thank you.
Yes, the sunshine has been showing itself this afternoon, here too. 🙂
Good to hear.
It’s been cold and windy down here in Cornwall but we’ve had very little snow.
We have brilliant sunshine now!
Winter is hanging on tooth and nail! Good to hear that procrastination isn’t a problem at your house!!
We are both of the mind the sooner we start, the sooner it will be finished. The bathroom has taken longer than anticipated because of a few hold ups, hospital appointments and health issues. If we’d had a run at it with none of this, it would have taken about a fortnight, which was our original estimation. Hopefully tomorrow will be the final day!!
