Got a refund!

We have had a productive day and thought we’d take the two boxes of tiles back for a refund, even though they were discounted as being a discontinued line. There was no problem at all and the money should be back on our account in a few days.
When I came out, Hubby was sitting in the boot with Maya who was being fussed by a father and his daughter. The young woman was wearing an ‘invisible disability’ ribbon and we have noticed that Maya is brilliant with anyone who has a disability, be it sticks, wheelchair, mobility scooter or if they are challenged in other ways as she seems to sense it and responds accordingly. We are so proud of her and she’d made another friend. We got s snack to tide us over until we got home, then went into the supermarket to check on the price of her food. It has gone up from £24 to £26 for a 12kg sack and they only had three left. The young man stacking the shelves said they were having problems getting deliveries of dog food which we had already heard, but I am not making the same mistake as last time and stocking up only for her to turn her nose up in a month or so.  I ended up giving three sacks of puppy food to the animal charity shop and have since discovered it has gone up to around £45 a bag since we switched to something else.

Home and it was tuna fishcakes for lunch with baked beans so quick and easy to prepare.
Maya had some tuna in her dinner and almost cleared her bowl. She’s had a good day too, having a romp on the beach early and having a lot of fun chasing a crow, a second walk along the prom on the way home, and I walked her round the block a little while ago. It’s all I can manage at the moment, but I did it, and she was very good for me.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I was in town with my brother this morning. It was cold in the wind but at least I didn’t have to walk home. It’s handy since bruv is semi-retired, I’ll see him again on Monday.
Myah is obviously doing you both proud.
I had fish cakes and baked beans for my tea last night 🙂

My BIL grew up in Northern New York and we discovered on this trip that he considers baked beans on toast for breakfast to be the absolute best! Maya has grown up since those first photos and though very cute as a puppy, she has really blossomed as a near adult!!

    • We used to have beans on toast as a main meal, and really pushed the boat out if we had a fried egg on top!
Maya is indeed a beautiful dog. I swear she has her own fan club now.
