A positive day with the skirting being finished, and the walls painted. Hubby did the first coat before we went out to do some shopping, and the second coat when we got back.
I put the washing on, and when that was finished, Hubby took it up to the launderette while I went round to our friend to confirm the details for tomorrow. She is having Maya for us for the afternoon so that I can go with Hubby to the hospital. I’ll have something to eat there while I’m waiting as he cannot have any food and only clear liquids from 1pm today. The gunk preparation drink is doing its job, so both of us will be glad when tomorrow is over and hopefully we can get back to normal.
The cabinet and mirror are back on the walls so we are gradually getting our bathroom back.

If you’re like me you’ll just be wanting it finished by now
Hubby wanted it all finished a week ago which is why he’s been pushing himself so hard. It’s almost finished and only little things to do now, but they’re the fiddliest.
I know, weβve got the structure of the veranda up, now the roofing sheets. Which are an absolute nightmmare
I remember when we replaced the roof of the car port only to find that the necessary clips were no longer made, so Hubby made his own, over 100 of them.
Wow, that’s quite a feat. We’ve got a kit, but the teks are cheap and blunt. Hubby is getting very frustrated
Hubbys fingers were cut to ribbons using the tin snips to do it, but it was worth it.
Nearly done! ….I had that awful medicine, Good luck to Hubby!!
Today is the day…………….. and it can;t be over soon enough. Will be taking Maya round to our friend shortly, loaded up with treats and her dinner. No need to take toys as she kept all of Kela’s and Maya knows where the toy box is kept!!
Oh! It will be a nice afternoon for your neighbour and Maya. Hope you and hubby do as well. I shall be thinking of hubby…. It’ll be good when he’s home.πππ
All done and dusted so now he can relax and rest.
I’m glad you had a positive day. That gunk stuff does a good job but tell hubby it’s not the best way to pebble dash your bathroom π
haha. Don’t want to decorate it again Glyn.
I am so pleased that you are all home safe now π
Thanks Willow.
