Welcome to Share your World.
There are two ways in which you can participate:
Leave your answers to this week’s questions in the comments box below or create your own post.
To make it easy for others to check out your post, title your blog post “Share Your World” and link it to this one.
Ping-backs are activated, but don’t always work properly.
To play safe, leave a link in a comment, just to be sure or if you prefer, leave just the link if you don’t have anything else to chat about.
Instructions on how ping-backs work are found by clicking here. Thanks!
Melanie always included an optional gratitude section at the end and I see no reason to change that.
Three of this week’s questions have been provided by Marla
Thank you Marla!
If you could rename yourself, what name would you choose and why?
If you were tasked with naming a new star, what would you name it and why?
If you were a story/comic book hero, what would your name be and why?
If animals could talk, which would be the rudest?
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Ha! If I could pick a new name I’d choose Muris (so I’ve already kind of done it!). A new star would be called Lux Splendida (Bright Light) and unless it was a very dim star that would be appropriate. My superhero name would be The Mouse (emphasis on THE). The rudest animal ever would have to be a hamster. They cuss up a storm and are very cranky all the time.
Love these Val!

If you were tasked with naming a new star, what would you name it and why? – I’d call it the Bowie star. He was a big star on earth and he was in the movie as The man Who Fell To Earth. He was contacting Major Tom from ground control. He also had a ‘space face’.

I really wanted a different name. I could relate to Marilyn and I still don’t. But I am 76 in a few weeks and it’s probably a little late to deal with it. Oh well.
I was never keen on being called Diana, but Di suits. However, I adore SWMBO and Hubby’s cartoons of ‘me’.
Well, GARRY thinks I’m beautiful, so I guess that’s almost like a better name 😀
could NOT relate to Marilyn
