Welcome to Share your World.
There are two ways in which you can participate:
Leave your answers to this week’s questions in the comments box below or create your own post.
To make it easy for others to check out your post, title your blog post “Share Your World” and link it to this one.
Ping-backs are activated, but don’t always work properly.
To play safe, leave a link in a comment, just to be sure or if you prefer, leave just the link if you don’t have anything else to chat about.
Instructions on how ping-backs work are found by clicking here. Thanks!
Melanie always included an optional gratitude section at the end and I see no reason to change that.
Here are today’s questions:
1. What kind of vacations did you have as a child?
2. Have any of those remained favourites now that you’re an adult?
3. What has been your best vacation ever?
4. Do you prefer resorts where there are no kids allowed?
Gratitude:
I am grateful for knowing some very kind and considerate individuals.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
That’s a beautiful quote Di 💜
Thanks Willow. Hope you’re having a good day.

Oh! My favourite holiday was in China as well! I was in ChangSha & LuHuo, each for a week with a train ride in between. The train ride was on New Years Eve & I had such a good time with a bunch of guys going to the ShouLin Temple for work retreat. I am super jealous of your travels though! Lovely pics too 😊
It was fascinating although a short trip. Just a few days in Beijing.

1. What kind of vacations did you have as a child? – Summer vacations to holiday camps always come to mind.
2. Have any of those remained favourites now that you’re an adult? – I think even a weekend away at Butlins will be enough for me these days 🙂
3. What has been your best vacation ever? – Trips to Scotland, staying in my uncle’s farm-house and travelling in his car along the East Lothian coast.
4. Do you prefer resorts where there are no kids allowed? – It wouldn’t bother me to be honest.
Thanks Glyn

Hi Di, here is my response to your SYW.

Oregon is one place we may eventually end up. My Great Aunt Peanuts used to live in Olympia, until she passed, I always loved visiting her. We drove there from Illinois and it was a gorgeous drive. There was a waterfall in Oregon that I absolutely fell in love with… it is so gorgeous there.
Sounds lovely.
I think Oregon is prettier than Washington and not as cold or snowy 😀

I’m late as always, but here’s my contributions: https://humorismandatory.wordpress.com/2023/02/08/share-your-world-2-6-23/
—Don’t you worry about being ‘late’… no such thing. This is “the week of” which means you have all week. (Sometimes I do old ones for fun too).— >>>Iceland!!! That is on my & my daughter’s bucket list (primarily bc 10% of their population are published authors), the history, & the scenery, not necessarily in that order. 🤦🏼♀️ I grew up in Arizona for a time, we visited the Grand Canyon, the Salt Flats, and other places around & in between. One of my favourite places all time is the painted desert, which is one of the most beautiful places the Lord has ever created.
