For the visually challenged reader, this image shows a set of three blue artificial mushrooms planted in a grassy area. These are all of different sizes.

They were selling like hot cakes, and soon the 1000 reject ceramics were all sold for a dollar a-piece.
Sam was thrilled to have offloaded this white elephant for a sizeable profit, but little did he know exactly what he had unleashed.
They looked very pretty in a variety of gardens, and when they glowed at night, everyone was pleased for this added bonus. They lit up pathways and flowerbeds, casting a beautiful blue hue across what could otherwise be dull back yard.

No-one really noticed when a quiet hum began to emit from the mushroom heads and it wasn’t until a freak meteor shower that someone began to feel uneasy.
In most gardens, the three mushrooms were now coated with what looked like angel dust. The kids loved it and were forever dipping their fingers into the powdery substance and enjoying the flavour of their favourite food.
Gradually, their behaviour began to change and many fell ill, some even died.
The medical profession had no idea what had caused this mass sickness, and samples of the dust were taken away for analysis.

The scientists were at a loss until someone thought to actually take several mushrooms from different areas into the lab for examination.
What was discovered was both amazing and frightening.
Inside each was an entire city of miniature humans resembling the residents of the towns in which the mushrooms had been attained.
No-one knew where to go from here…….. except to wait and see what unfolded.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
