Rory’s Morning Dawdler #11

Rory is our host and these are his questions.

Should we all live a life that others may not understand because of the uniquity of who we are or should we all conform to the norm?

What do you think are the five main components to living a healthy happy life?

What do you think is the best colour to paint your main living space and why that colour? What benefits does it award you?

What do you consider absolutely pointless in life?

We are all individuals, not clones, and if our way of life differs from someone else’s, as long as it’s not hurting anyone or dangerous, then leave us alone!!

What do you think are the five main components to living a healthy happy life?
Don’t smoke (we quit in 1991), only have alcohol in moderation (we’re practically tee-total), don’t overspend and live within your means (reduces stress and anxiety if being in debt), eat as well as you can afford with a good balance of fresh fruit and vegetables, and exercise as well as you are able.

What do you think is the best colour to paint your main living space and why that colour? What benefits does it award you?
We had a pink lounge in the bungalow which was very restful because it was a big room. Our lounge here is considerably smaller, so our colour scheme is neutral with magnolia walls (I know, BORING) and pictures up on the walls, three of which are jigsaw puzzles, three are dogs and three are photo combis. It’s home and we think welcoming.

What do you consider absolutely pointless in life?
Potholes. Sadly our roads are not very well maintained.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I think we all already live individual lives – we just don’t parade it to the world!!

Great answers! I am always complaining that we don’t have very good train travel in the US & that is because we put our money into our roads. It doesn’t stop the potholes, but it usually means we don’t have to live with them very long.
