Installation stalled

We are having a weekend off from installing the new shower.
The floor has been laid and is as even as it’s going to get, but everything else is on hold.
We unpacked the shower tray but did not remove the plastic protective covering before inspection. We noticed that the filler is indented at one end and although we don’t think it’s an issue, we want to be sure as if it’s wrong, we have no comeback after installation.
We took a couple of pictures and have sent them off to the company as they are closed for the weekend.

This is actually working in our favour as when Hubby was collecting some materials last week, rather than hold the door open for him, a guy just left it and it swung shut, hitting Hubby with some force. Although the bruise is coming out, he has inflammation around his elbow and because he’s on warfarin, a trip to the UTC last night has suggested an infection, so he’s on antibiotics and has to rest his arm.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

OMG poor Hubby it’s not fair, did the guy apologise…. Did he even notice! 💜

  5. Liz says:

I can imagine the frustration for him not being able to continue, but rest is the important thing while he waits on that email to be sure he can go ahead with the job.

some people are so fucking rude! I’m sorry hubby has an infection now, because of some inconsiderate person!
You need a weekend to relax and I am glad you are taking it!

  7. willowdot21 says:

Well I am not surprised… And I suppose it is a blessing that nothing is broken 💜

Somehow the karmic beauty of this world is working itself out… I’m sad that the elbow injury and bruise even happened but it makes the doctor’s orders to rest the joint easier the stomach when you are forced to wait to hear from the company! I’ve got my fingers crossed that the shower tray is fine and that there will be no more delays!

  9. Nope, Not Pam says:

What an ass, did the guy stop and apologize?

  10. glyn40wilton says:

Not so good but it could have come at a worse time I guess.
