You’re joking right?
It’ll be perfect for the daily wash.
Yeah, one sock or pair of knickers at a time. It’s ridiculous!
It says it uses one litre of water per wash, so that has to save money. I thought you’d be pleased I was making an effort to reduce the bills!
And how many washes do you think I’d have to do eh? I’d rather do the lot by hand!
Ah! They have a spinner and drier to match……….
Stop right there…………

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Ha, topical one Di, a novel way to get the energy bills down, however unpractical!
Thanks Iain
Looks like the kind of thing you find in caravans – completely useless π
A friend bought a small washing machine for their boat which sat on the work top. She said it was the most useless thing she’d ever bought!
We discussed it, but I decided to hand wash instead
Aha. I suspect the doing it by hand was the whole aim of the exercise
I can remember washing my sheets in the bath when i was first married because I didn’t have a washing machine. Not a good idea!!!
Haha!
Hehe!! Barbie is going to be looking for her appliances…
Hahahaha π
A very pertinent tale to modern times. Mind you needing to do a 100 washes a day probably wont help with the bills, nice one, Di.
Thanks Mason
Sock it to ‘im π
haha,
One sock. Actually. Newborn size. π
Ha! Saving money isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Very true
Someone is having fun at someone’s expense. Fun and funny. π
Hahaha! Back in the day, we used to have an old twin tub…it had such a tiny barrel. And they still make them, they still shudder so much with the spin, I wonder if the house foundations stay intact. I’ll have a front loader any day. Fun dialogue π
Thanks. I had a twin tub and the spinner on it was brilliant.
Yes our went speed of light too, but you could hear it across the house.
My Mum had always had a twin tub, so when she got her first automatic, she drew up a chair thinking she’d have to manually put it on rinse and spin, bless her.
It’s what we get used to, eh. When we got our first dishwasher for out 10th wedding anniversary, I felt a bit lost to start with having free time and not at the sink doing dishes. It didn’t take long to fill the time, though.
Never used a dishwasher, though I can understand with large families. We probably don’t own enough crockery to fill one!
It was an essential with busy kids but now they’re adults, and now just the two of us, it can take 3 days to fill it lol
Our friend lives on her own, puts the dirty crockery in her dishwasher and uses it once a week
Sounds about right for a single person
π
We’ve come a long way baby. π
ha!!
