For the visually challenged reader, this image shows a shot of a green field, in the center of which is a flowerbed shaped like an eye and the flowers planted to give an impression the eye is staring directly forward.
She was tired of being green. It didn’t matter from which angle she was viewed, she was always a dull, boring green. Even the clover had no flowers and she was home to their green leaves until one day a bee brought her a gift.
‘I have pollen,’ he announced. ‘I will spin and dance in your fine greenery, then my friends will come and do the same.’
She laughed gaily as their wings tickled, the sound gathering in the breeze bringing sunshine to her meadow.
Soon, she felt a stirring and gentle tugs as tiny forms began to shoot upwards within her centre.
Within just a short period, she was no longer green and could see far up into the blue sky, watching the gentle flurries of white clouds pass over, and feel the occasion kiss of the tears of rain to help her charges grow.
‘Thank you Mother,’ she whispered.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
So far, I;ve had umpteen blood tests and ultrasounds on my hands and feet where they discovered pockets of fluid on all of my joints. The MRI is from the knees up to my neck and they are looking at 7 different things according to the list. I just want to know what I’m up against so that we can plan. Hubby is waiting for a urology appointment and also an endoscopy, both of which should have been sorted two months ago when he spent 4 days up and down to A&E..
Oof, that sounds agonising! 7 different causes sounds a lot. I hope it’s the best of the seven they find.
I know how your hubby is faring. My dad Collapsed in September through a blocked prostate and heat stroke. Was in hospital 6 days. Instead of just doing the 15 minute surgery to fix it there and the . They put him on a colostomy bag and said he’ll probably wait 18 months. It’s ridiculous!

We are ticking over thanks. Health could be better, but we’re managing.
Glad you’re managing, I hope your health does improve too.
Thanks Mason. Hold up is scans but we’ll get there.
I see, everything at the doctors and hospital seems to take 15 time longer now doesn’t it. I hope the scans show something healable.
