Six questions follow
1. Did you set any goals for the new year this time last year? Did you meet them or miss the mark? Tell us more if you’re comfortable sharing.
Not really, usual stuff about trying to keep my weight stable. which I have.

2. What are three words that might describe the kind of person you were this past year or describe in some way how your life looked?

frustrating, worrying, concerned.

3. What’s something new you ate, saw, heard, or experienced in 2022? What did you think?
Training a GSD puppy. I’ve had 2 GSDs before, but Maya is my first GSD puppy.
What did we think? We’re too old for this shit!! Seriously, she’s lovely, just hard work.

4.  Oxford Dictionary has announced it’s word of the year for 2022, and it’s this-goblin mode. Huh? Have you ever heard this phrase? Used this phrase?
Just looked it up. Sigh. We used to call it slovenly and lazy.

If you were in charge, what word would you declare word of the year for 2022?
Farce………… our politicians have no clue and how can a PM who is richer than the King have any idea how Joe Public cope.

5. Any special plans for an end of year celebration in your house or town? The travel channel says the world’s best New Year’s Eve celebrations will happen in Copacabana Beach-Rio de Janerio, the Orlando theme parks in Florida,  London, Sydney, New York’s Time Square, Edinburgh Scotland, and Paris. If you could attend any one of these which would you choose? Tell us why?
No special plans for the end of year apart from making sure the dog isn’t uncomfortable or restless with all the noise of fireworks going off before, at and after midnight.

6. Insert your own random thought here.
Beam me up Scotty (with Hubby and Maya)

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Love your recap of 2022! I’m happy that Mochi is adult and so well house broken and so easy to train!!

    • Maya was clean indoors after day 3 when I caught her having a pee in the hall and got her outside. She is very definite in letting you know she wants to go out…………. even if it is 5am sometimes! Better that than an accident indoors and undo all that good work, bless her. Easy to train……… hm. Let’s say we are still making progress

  2. Here’s to a much better year for us all… although 2022 wasn’t all bad!

Any special plans for an end of year celebration in your house or town? – If the weather holds out, I’ll watch the NYE firework display being held at the Piazza in town. If not, then I’ll be happy to see in 2023 while watching Jool’s Holland’s Hogmanay show on TV.

Thanks for joining in the Hodgepodge this week. Puppies are a lot of work, but they sure are cute! Happy new year!

    • We’ve had pups before but this is my first GSD puppy. She’s 13 months old now, weighs 37 kgs or thereabouts and we can expect her to be a pup for at least another 12 months. She is lovely though!!
