Sunday Evening 4th December

It’s almost 7pm and I have just accessed my blog.

The weather has again been abysmal and raining for most of the day. Hubby took Maya out for a walk this morning but it wasn’t for long because it’s so cold.
The Beast from the East is making its presence felt today, so we haven’t been doing very much.
I have been productive though and not only made the three special cards I wanted (all totally different), but also another 16 to be given away as gifts to our friends.ย  I added a few more from my box and have a dozen each for them this year which will hopefully come in useful. No photos taken today though, but these were some of the its used.
ย  Lunch was fish, mash and baked beans followed by a frozen cheesecake. Hubby got it today as I was busy, my cards taking me all day. Some of the kits I used are older ones and fiddly to ‘pop out’ of the card. My hands aren’t as nimble as they were and I had quite a bit of difficulty with some. The end results were quite nice though and they have all been cellophaned ready for wrapping.

Have a lovely evening everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Your cards are wonderful! I’m sure they will be perfect gifts!!

    • I hope so. These particular kits are no longer available and I was glad I’d bought several at the time. My cutters are blunt and the paper quality has reduced so similar ideas to those illustrated would mean hand cut ‘windows’. I’ve given cards in previous years and they went down very well.

Sounds like you were very productive

Yes, it’s definitely turned a lot colder down here in Cornwall too!
They are really nice cards. I wrapped a few more Christmas presents this morning but I still having got my Christmas tree and decorations up yet.

    • Thank you. They are an old batch of photos, but the kits I used yesterday were the same. We’ll put our deccies up later. I did most of my present shopping today and wrapped them all this afternoon.
