The last day of the month, and December starts tomorrow.
The day is chilly and grey, but at least it’s not raining. No sign of the sun but washing had to be done so it was up to the launderette today to get it dry. It looks like their prices have been increased again as it is costing more for less time.
Roll on Summer!
I walked Maya up through the park to the launderette and was asked if I was a dog trainer and policewoman. I was wearing my hi-vis yellow coat and Maya was walking nicely beside me. The woman asked if mine was friendly and could she introduce her dog, an eight month old cockapoo the size of Mayas head. Not exactly nose to nose as the little one was a bit nervous and Maya wanted to play, but it wasn’t a bad encounter.
Getting her to walk nicely after was a bit of a battle though. She fights the haltie now, especially on a long walk, but we arrived OK and she was so glad to see Hubby.
We needed batteries for our central heating thermostat and timer, so I left Maya with the washing and Hubby, and walked up to the Co-op.
I heard my name and turned to see a fellow dog walker who has 2 greyhounds that love Maya and they are all quite sociable together. Her daughter has just had a baby boy and they were all surprised as he wasn’t due until just before Christmas! He weighed in at over 7lbs and mother and baby are home. I was shown pictures and he is so cute in his onesie! All is well and there was a lovely pic of a proud Dad holding his son when he was less than an hour old.
