TODAY’S QUOTE
“Here’s the only blogging tip you really need: always follow your intuition.” – Kelly Thoreson
IMO this quote refers to more than just blogging. I have followed my intuition most of my life, and my mantra was ‘If in doubt, DON’T!’
Hubby says I’m a scary judge of character and I have often followed my instincts on most things from buying a car to gingernut biscuits LOL.
As to this quote being the only blogging tip we really need?
No. I suppose it depends on the kind of blog you want to project, but I think there is much more to blogging than intuition.
How about inspiration, consideration, insight, compassion, camaraderie, support, thoughtfulness and a host of other things.

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
These all are necessary qualities for a blogger.
I think so
👍🏼
I agree. I also think our intuition can be wrong sometimes, so always following that is not a good idea. “Engagement” has been the key to my blogs.
I like that approach.
Yes, intuition is important but it isn’t the only thing.
I agree with you.
Is intuition and imagination the same thing?
I would say no as I see intuition as something you pick up on and imagination an idea or something you see in your minds eye.
My 2nd read on this prompt and thankful blogging friends are okay with ‘it’s okay to disagree’. Your last sentence spoke volumes. 😊
Thanks June. I try to bring a lot of things to the blogging table.
Hmm. Intuition does come into play but not usually in writing my blog. I find intuition is most valuable in determining which comments are spam and which ones are the real deal… Writing a blog is more about observation, description, imagination, and consistency.
I agree with you Val.
All the attributes of blogging that you have mentioned are essential.
Thanks Dr T
Most welcome dear 😍
