It’s chilly and my hands are freezing, but at least it’s not raining.
A good night all round but not much on our agenda today.
I had some shopping to do so drove up to the supermarket and Hubby walked the dog back. The idea was to meet half way but by the time he got there, I was still in the car park, so he kept walking. I passed him when he was about 300 yards from home so by the time he walked up the drive, the kettle was on and the shopping unloaded.
We also had one very tired dog!
Lunch today was chicken curry with Naan bread and rather tasty. Maya had some chicken, stock and rice in her dinner so she has a full tummy too.
We both have our feet up and doing our own thing……… me on the computer and Hubby watching something on youtube. As I look at the dog, the only difference to the above picture is the position of her chew, which today is tucked under her nose. The picture was taken on the 18th.
Hope you’re all having a good day. Keep safe and take care everyone.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Have a good day.
I am stuffed from lunch. I bought a chicken roast and made a chicken sandwich with a chicken leg on the side. Remaining chicken will ladt a few days.
I followed my chicken sandwich with icecream, even though it’s cold and I am under a fleece blanket rather than put heating on today.
I will probably have a chicken sandwich later, unless I decide to have it as a dinner.
I am enjoying watching dvd’s today. That’s my day today.
Good for you Liz. Enjoy your meals and DVDs. Are you binge watching a series, or just a variety?
It’s been Christmas films over the weekend. But going back to Merlin.
Enjoy!
All 3 of you have definitely earned a rest. Enjoy!!
Thanks Fransi. Feet are still up!
Good!!
hehe
The weather is the same down here, more or less. I did the ‘big shop’ with my brother and sister and had lunch in Macky D’s! for a treat.
Because of a tree coming down during the night, the out-going lane of the dual carriageway was closed, so the traffic was chaotic.
I can imagine! Pay day for me next week, so we shall be doing a big shop and hopefully getting in a few extras for the holidays.
Sometimes the quiet days are the best
oh yeah!
Do you not have the rains where you are Di? Just the cold? I would love the cold in place of these damn rains, do you want any of it? I could bottle it up and send you some? Want to place an order for mebbe 100,000 5 litres bottles? π
It’s been raining since 3am this morning and still not let up and they are not light showers either but heavy buckets.
I sympathise. We have rain like you wouldn’t believe sometimes, and of course The Beast From The East wind. We are unlikely to flood here, but we do have a rather deep puddle opposite that tends to take a couple of days to drain away as the drain is in the wrong place!!
It’s a nightmare here Di. It reminds me of the winter of 2018/19 when it was non-stop rains.
You can’t do anything, and it just keeps coming.
Oh well at least it isn’t ice π
I remember 2007 when we were househunting………. in a tent as we were technically homeless. We got fed up being flooded out all the time and bought a small touring caravan. Typically, the rain stopped!
That seems to be the very British way regarding our weather. hahaha.
exactly!
Sounds like a very pleasant day. βΊοΈ
We could do with a few more! Thanks for commenting. Have a good week.
Thanks, you too!

I’m glad Maya and your husband were up to a long walk! Mochi doesn’t like to go out in the rain and it has been raining all day. Sparky had to practically drag her out the door. She did have to go and managed to make it to the grass and then back to the door in record time…
Maya doesn’t like walking in puddles.
