5 Things Tuesday is back. Today I ask you to name your favourite fusion food. It’s rather fun to combine different cuisines.
I’m with Dr T with pineapple on pizza with ham and mushrooms.

I also like pineapple on burgers and the other day we had a pork and apple burger with pineapple, cheese, and onions.

Smoked haddock on a mound of green runner beans. I haven’t had this for years but it was one of my favourites when I was living with my parents.

Do smoothies count? Chuck strawberries, kiwis, raspberries, blueberries and half a banana in the blender with vanilla yogurt and whiz!!

Tomato pasta with mushrooms, peppers and onions topped with cheese.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I’ve had some really interesting fusion foods – there was a barbeque pork pizza that was really tasty. I had an oriental omelet (it had bean sprouts and water chestnuts with some breaded spicy chicken inside). I had a cheese cake that had a tiramisu layer in the middle – that was a nasty surprise but Sparky thought it was delicious. I guess if I liked the flavor of coffee it would have been good…

Yes, I like pineapple on my pizza but I do prefer the deep pan type rather than thin and crispy.
I’m not to keen on smoothies or yogurt though.

    All very nice 😁

  5. It seems like you are a great fan of pineapple.
Do you get good fresh ones in your area?
In my part of the world we get either the tinned kind or ‘fresh’ ones that are a bit dry.
I was in Bangkok a few years ago and I had fresh pineapple that was to die for.
