The day started grey and overcast but relatively mild. It had been raining most of the night and when I let Maya out just before 7 (she is getting so good!), it was still spitting down. However, as the day has progressed, it’s got brighter and warmer so no need for the heating to be engaged.
We did a washload which Hubby took up to the launderette to dry, nipping into the supermarket to get a couple of bread rolls to go with our dinner.
Pork and apple burgers today with cheese, pineapple rings and onions. It makes a pleasant change and with the variety of flavours wakes up the tired taste buds. Dessert was the rest of the pineapple with my oats and granola crumble topping plus custard.
Maya has been groomed and again another wad of fur just fell out of her. We don’t have to apply any pressure and the ‘rake’ style comb we use isn’t harsh. She quite likes it actually and will sit there with a sappy expression on her face. If the hoover is out, she will nudge the hose and hint to be done. My parents had a dog like that!
Looks like being a nice quiet day for us so naps in the afternoon might well be on the cards! Hubby took Maya for a walk this morning and once he’s finished his coffee, will take her for another. If no-one is about, he can let her off for a run home as I wait on the drive.
While he was at the launderette I played with her in the garden but she still won’t give up the gonk without some form of bribery and my back started to hurt so I didn’t push my luck No sign of my MRI and ultrasound appointments yet.
Sounds like a good day, I hope you get your appointments soon 💜💜💜
If I haven’t heard by midweek, I shall be phoning them up.
Yes don’t leave it too long!
I need to know what’s going on Willow. The pain and frequency is getting worse.
That really is not good is it , send you good vibes..💜💜
Thanks Willow.
Sorry to hear that your back is still giving you fits. I do hope you can get that appointment scheduled sooner rather than later! I’d trade you your weather for ours. We already had about 3″ of snow on the ground and it started snowing last night. We woke up to about 6 more inches. So instead of going to the gym to workout, Sparky shoveled the driveway and then after the plow came through he did it again! Brr! It is very cold here 14F (-10C) and we definitely have the furnace on but the house is only heated to 68F so not hot inside by a stretch. Seems we will have a very cold and snowy winter if November is any indication!!
We have our thermostat set for 17.5 C (about 63F) having reduced it from our usual 18 degrees but on boost it’s set for 19 degrees (66F). I am seriously thinking of putting it back up to 18 though as I am feeling the cold before it kicks in which for me is unusual. Can’t wit to see Maya’s reaction to snow!!
I went out of town to the garden centre this morning with my brother, mainly just to see the tropical fish. He bought the fish-tank a year ago but still hasn’t decided what to put in it!
The weather was good and much warmer than Saturday.
Don’t let him get a lobster! Friends of ours did that and had no fish in the tank the next day!
🙂 He’s thinking of getting a few angel fish, but they ain’t cheap!
Pretty though!
