Hubby had a blood test at 8.40 this morning and as expected, his INR is out of range.
The necessary dosage has been calculated and he’ll go back for another next Friday.
We have thus spent the rest of the day putting the finishing touches to the lounge, which included replacing some tiles.
I think I mentioned we had a couple of tilts, but what we didn’t expect was lighter tiles and one box where the tiles were 2mm short on one side. Hubby was able to use those for the cut edges, and although I noticed two tiles of a lighter shade the day we laid them, we’d both missed two tiles as you come through the door alongside a third that changed colour half way across.
Out of the 80 tiles we purchased, we have about a dozen left over, but half of those are a a different colour. A complaint is going in to the manufacturers, especially as we had ensured all four boxes were of the same batch and colour code. We don’t expect any compensation as we’ve used them but feel they should be made aware that their quality control let them down in this instance.
We’ve had a juggle of pictures too, and noticed two pieces of one of our puzzles were missing. This set off alarm bells as we hadn’t noticed and I had visions of them having been hoovered up and discarded. Luckily, they had fallen down behind the picture so were retrieved and replaced.
While Hubby was clearing up the bomb site that was our spare bedroom, I took the dog for a walk. She has been so good these past couple of days, she was deserving of some quality time. I did the Kela route but my back was giving me serious trouble by the time I got home. This was nothing to do with her, just the way things are at the moment and I wish my MIR appointment would hurry up and come through. I’ve taken a painkiller and now sitting with my feet up with a cushion behind me. Maya is crashed out on her cushion which is wonderful as she has so much more space.
Keep safe everyone.
Maya looks very content and I hope your back pain eases soon.
Thanks Glyn. The painkiller kicked in quite quickly so it’s not too bad now.
Take it easy and try to get in some rest when you can
Thanks Deb. All three of us had a good night last night.
It looks lovely 🌹
It was worth doing.
Glad the re-arrangement has given Maya the room she needs to stretch out! Quality Control is slipping everywhere!
I sometimes wonder is anyone knows what quality control actually is these days.
