Today is Friday November 11th

Hello and good morning!

Hubby has had a blood test this morning and as expected his INR has been affected by the antibiotics he’s been taking so he has another test next week.

I’ve had a pretty busy morning while he’s been out, having done some washing and groomed the dog. Another shih tzu materialised at the end of the comb. I cannot remember having so much fur out of my other GSDs, but Maya is really fluffy and losing her summer coat big time.

I have a parcel to post this morning and will also top up my phone. One thing I don’t need is stamps as I have plenty and all my Christmas stamps are still valid despite being the old issue. Just a reminder to folks in the UK, you need to use any old issue stamps before January 31st 2023.

Lunch is day two of our stew, but when out I’ll get some nice crusty bread to dunk in it.
Have a good day and keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Have a good day. After today, I am off next week from both jobs. I shall be going away for a few days in a different town and spend most of my time by the canal. X

I remember my mum used to make a lovely stew. I’ll try and remember to get a book of first class stamps at the post office next time I’m in town.

    Postage takes forever here 🙄

I like the stamps we have – they don’t put the value on the stamp anymore – they are just “Forever” stamps. Buy them cheap and they can be used for as long as there is mail delivery!

    • Likewise here, so the ones I bought a couple of Christmases ago are still valid until January 31st 2023. I will use them all up though as although I can send them away for exchange, it’s easier to stick them on a letter!
