Today is Tuesday 8th November

It is 3.45 in the afternoon and Hubby left for the hospital just before 9am, arriving at 10.08. He’s still there awaiting his results and things in the ward are getting a little fraught as the nurses are being run ragged as A&E are continuing to send people up to them.
The good news is that he’s had his scan and some other tests that were scheduled, the bad is that no-one is answering their pagers so that they can tell him what’s going on.

Meanwhile here at home, I’ve been busy getting the washing done and outside, housework, including dusting, and I even made a batch of scones!
I had a toasted cheesie for my lunch which went all chewy so I shared that with Maya, and I’ve also taken her for a walk. My back was hurting so I took some painkillers and am now waiting for Hubby’s next text to fill me in.
It started to rain so I had to bring the washing in and boosted the heating for a little wile to finish it off as it was almost dry. This is great as I’d washed Maya’ towels too.

I’m beginning to stiffen up so it might be an idea to take Maya for a short walk just to get the joints moving. There is also a possibility of more rain so best to walk her sooner rather than later.

Take care everyone.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I hope hubby isn’t waiting too much longer.

Well, that is good news but still doesn’t explain his continued pain! Glad you were able to make the day a productive one! I’m doing laundry too! It is finally a sunny day and Sparky is trying to finish the fence repairs. He wants to get it done before winter so that Mochi can have a place to run in circles (wearing a path in the carpet isn’t my idea of good exercise)!

Sounds like a busy day for you and the hospital! Glad hubby is home safe 💜💜

I’m glad your hubby finally got seen. I’m just hoping that the planned nurses strike doesn’t go ahead here. You can’t really blame them though.
