I mentioned the other day that I’d bought a couple of cheap calendars to use for my Hello cards.
I settled down to make some today and made 17 in total.
Sadly two of the pictures were ruined when I tried to use my oval cutters as they snagged the paper right where I couldn’t hide it, and the painted lady butterfly was too big for me to use on anything.
However, the rest came out OK and I was quite pleased with the results.

I also made some Christmas cards and they didn’t turn out too badly either
I have now used the last of the pack of cards I bought from The Range which were a great disappointment. The envelopes didn’t have any gum on them so I have improvised with double sided tape, and the cards themselves were not the best quality I’ve had for my money. Also, I was short changed and had 6 envelopes left over. I will now stick with the brand I usually buy which does the fluted sides in cream or white as well as the straight edges.

In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
They turned out great. Great recycling too
Thanks.
All very nicely done 💜💜
thanks
Very pretty! I do like the elk or deer – looks like a great card for a man! There will be lots of calendars available for cheap after January or February…
It’s a red deer and I was rather pleased with it. These calendars are only £1 but the pictures are quite nice.
awesome you had a fantastic card making session Di 🙂
Thanks. Christmas cards next time.
