Can see no Truthful Tuesday, so am stepping in for Melanie

Melanie sometimes schedules her TT posts, but I’ve had a quick scan of my reader and can’t see one, so I’ll pose a question on her behalf:

Hubby and I received notification that we were eligible for our second Covid booster and  have made appointments at the local surgery.

My question is, would you still have any booster jabs offered to you or do you think they are now ineffective?

You can answer by leaving a comment below or write your own post with your thoughts and pingback to this one, then leave a link in the comments so that others can read it.

Hopefully Melanie is getting to the bottom of her computer issues and normal TT service will be resumed shortly.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I have received all three boosters (as well as the initial two-part) vaccine. I took a flu shot at the same time as my last booster, which was a full dose of the vaccine Moderna updated for omicron. Each of these makes me feel a bit yucky and sore for a day, but in my view it’s totally worth it. I hate getting ill because it worsens my migraines and back pain, so I take all vaccines offered. I’ve had the pneumonia vax as well as the two-part shingles one. I haven’t been sick in a really long time (crossed fingers, knocks wood). I understand “big pharma” makes money here from vaccines, as does big ag selling us food, et cetera. That’s capitalism for ya! Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t eat or take meds…

I’ll be getting more boosters, as advised. So far, they seem to have worked to keep me going.

We had to get our boosters to travel to Canada. We did so willingly since we caught COVID when we traveled to Utah! Of course they came out with the booster with the Omicron protection just after we returned from the cruise. The doctor said we had to wait until at least February to get another booster. 😦 So we are biding our time, wearing masks and washing our hands like we have OCD!!
