The evening of Friday 7th October

The day has whizzed by yet we do not appear to have done very much. Maya slept through until after 7 and I was able to take her for a walk before we went out.
Hubby’s blood test was at 9.20 but we didn’t get home until nearly 3 and I was due to take our neighbour to the doctor’s surgery for 4pm so it was cutting things a bit fine!

Good news is Hubby is still in range but will have another test next week to play safe as he has been taking a course of antibiotics and they usually screw things up for him.
We had some running around to do so it was into town and we were able to park relatively easily. It meant a bit of a walk to where we wanted to go but this turned out to be good for Maya as she got to socialise with a few other dogs and being market day, the streets were busy but not too crowded for her.

We have been trying to source medicated foot powder and this seems to be a thing of legend as it is either deodorized powder (not what we are after though it takes a while for some shop assistants to accept that), creams or sprays. One pharmacy had more space on the shelves than products and that is quite worrying for a large chain.

We also had to get a new wireless doorbell as the one we had was cabled which would have meant drilling a hole through the new door frame.
We did have a cuppa and snack in town which was just as well getting late home because we didn’t have our stew until 5.30.

All in all though not a bad day and my evening will be spent playing catch up.
Take care everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
