Today is Thursday 6th October

It’s Door Day and the guys are working well having got the old frame out and new one in after a bit of a game.
Having measured me for the height of the viewing window, everything is now being cut to size. Coffee and gingernuts are freely available as they work, and Maya is behaving herself in not trying to pilfer their tools.  The noise doesn’t faze her either and both guys have dogs so she knows they’re friends. One has a two and a half year old shepherd who is the same size as Maya, so he was surprised that she is only 10 months. He’s a big guy, at least six feet seven and I bet he wouldn’t have a problem walking her!!
The day has started nice and sunny with a chill on the air. I’ve walked Maya round the block using the new check chain and there is definitely an improvement. She still pulls, but as there is not so much ‘dangle’ it checks sooner and she’s getting the idea. I also posted my letters this morning so hopefully our friends will get them early next week if there are no more strikes. The UK is in a mess as more strikes are pending and it doesn’t help that some a*hole MP is saying if people can’t manage on their salaries, to get a job that pays more. That is the biggest insult to our nurses who are leaving the profession to get jobs in supermarkets as the wages are better while the government look after the rich and businesses.

Hope your day is off to a good start. Keep safe and take care everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

What a day! I’m glad that Maya behaved so well. I suppose the new lead has got her attention… that is progress! The mail here has steadily improved after tRump tried to kill it and have it outsourced to his cronies….
