Here we go with Melanie’s latest batch of questions.
QUESTIONS -THINGS THAT GO ‘BUMP’ IN THE NIGHT

Favourite horror or Halloween-themed song?  Or a song you rarely hear except around a holiday.

Do you ever see figures in your peripheral vision?

Which urban legend scares you the most? (most countries have such stories – share yours if you would like to)

You’re home alone but you hear footsteps in your house, what do you do?

Has to be Monster Mash

Do you ever see figures in your peripheral vision?
Often. I wear varifocals and the peripheral can be a bit fuzzy so it’s easy to think I’m seeing someone rather than something.

Which urban legend scares you the most? (most countries have such stories – share yours if you would like to)
Not an urban legend, but when I was living on the outskirts of Bath, there was one stretch of road that at night always seemed to have a figure walking across the road to the field opposite. I asked about it one day and was told apparently someone had walked across the road from the farmhouse to hang themselves in the big tree there.

You’re home alone but you hear footsteps in your house, what do you do?
Ask if they want tea or coffee. It is extremely rare I am on my own here. In fact, there has only been one occasion and that was shortly after Maggie died and Hubby had been taken into hospital. I couldn’t sleep and finally switched the light off at 3am. The mobile rang at 4 am and it was Hubby saying to come and get him. By the time I got to the hospital, he was back in casualty wired up to god knows how many machines as he’d had an ‘episode’ whilst waiting for me and now the doctors had something to go on! I left at 6 on my own and finally collected him 12 hours later.

GRATITUDE SECTION

What is your favourite season?
I love autumn for the warm colours and tones even as the colder temperatures begin to take hold.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I used to be the first one into the office in the morning, there was this small store room that I walked past and I often saw someone out the corner of my eye. I used to say good morning
