Today is Saturday October 1st

It has been a varied day.
We took our friend’s daughter M to the railway station then made our way to the supermarket to sort out the duplicate charge. My mobile rang and it was M to say that the trains were on strike for 48 hours as were the coaches so she couldn’t get home. Could she come back with us?
This was not a problem as we were still in town, so we arranged to meet outside the building society which was to be my next stop.
The supermarket would not reimburse me, having checked their records and said it was a ‘ghost charge’ and would only have been debited once. I told her it had been taken from our account twice and she said I would have to take it up with our bank. Great, so that’s something to do next week 😦

Good news in the building society was a bit more interest than I was expecting went on my account so that can be put towards the new front door which is being fitted on Thursday.

Following the conversation about lasagna on the way into town, Hubby was drooling so I bought some fresh mince and made one for lunch today. It was quite tasty and Maya had some meat and stock in her bowl. She’s had two long walks today which has made up for yesterday as the weather was so bad.

Hope the start to the weekend and new month has been good for you all. Keep safe.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

sorry they wouldn’t refund the charge, that is not cool at all! I love lasagna. yum!

  2. Ah, warms my heart to hear you made lasagna. Well done! We’re getting a bit of Ian up here but just some rain, not nearly what was predicted, thank goodness. Take good care.

Lasagna sounds good! As for the duplicate charge – we went round and round on a charge in May that was just resolved on September!! I hope yours doesn’t take that long!

    • I’ve already deducted it from my book as I anticipate quite a wait as someone will have to backtrack where the debit was generated and how processed. Luckily it wasn’t that much but I want it back!
