Simply Six Minutes: 27th September

Christine is our host and this is our picture this week
This picture is of someone standing on a rocky peak in front of what looks like a car’s rearview mirror

For days he had traveled and eventually ended up here.
He had no idea what he was looking at. There was no way in, no windows to reveal what was inside, and pure wonder at how the structure remained balanced on the edge of the rock as it was.
Tentatively, he took a step forward and was surprised his image was not reflected.
He reached out a shaking hand to touch the surface and quickly retracted it when his fingers were completely engulfed. He tried again and voices in his head told him not to be afraid, to trust and open his mind.
His hand disappeared into the entity, and he could feel a cool wetness on the inside.
Withdrawing it gently, he discovered it was wet and tingling, but in a pleasant way.
Lifting his fingers to his lips, he ran his tongue along the droplets on his skin and tasted the purest water imaginable, wondering how this magical substance and vessel had come to be.
It was not of Earth, and he wanted to know more.
Holding out both hands, he walked through the mirrors and into the unknown. The rumblings told him he was airborne and his explorative adventure was just beginning.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
