Today was Saturday 17th September

We have had a pretty busy day and only just settling down to relax for the evening.
We both walked Maya this morning, and although not one of our best walks, we met up with several people, two of which had dogs, both of which were male. Maya was OK with both of them, lunging a bit to play, but no trace of the anxiety from Wednesday’s class.

Hubby had a repair to do on the generator box which he finished today and has done a good job.
While he was doing that, I got the card making kit out and had a very productive session making 19 in total. Initially I wanted to make a Get Well Soon card for a dog walking friend who had some major surgery last week and is laid up in bed.
I also had a male birthday next week and my box is a little bare of suitable items, so that was what I concentrated on today, using leaves and pictures of wildlife.

This one was my favourite today
and I singled these out for you too:

Keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Oh!!! That mouse card is the BEST!! (I’m a tad biased) All of them look beautiful. Hope your friend recovers quickly!

  2. Love the ‘thinking of you’ bear card. Lovely that you create all these beautiful greetings! 🧸

    • I enjoy making them Sometimes they don’t quite go as expected though! I thought the Thinking of You bear very regal!

      • Yes indeed … and very wise! Do you buy kits to make your cards, get supplies from an arts & crafts store or cut out photos etc from magazines or online graphics? So few people send actual cards these days; too bad! I set aside the day after Thanksgiving to write out my Christmas card. It’s been a tradition for me for as long as I can remember and I try to do a few each day. I usually finish up two weeks before Christmas so there’s plenty of time to get them mailed out. Sadly, the number of cards I receive has dwindled over the years. I guess people just don’t have the time. 🎄

      • My cards are a mixture. I buy papers, trimmings and toppers, though have some decoupage kits from years ago which aren’t available any more. I recycle some parts of cards received too. Blank cards are different sizes (I like the ones with the fluted edges) usually in cream or white, though I have bought some pastel ones this time but haven’t used any yet.

      • Your cards are so lovely and it’s wonderful that they’re homemade. My sister-in-law is very crafty and I joined her a few times but I have no talent in that department and everything I made looked like I used my feet lol! I’ll just have to appreciate other people’s creations!

      • I’m not really creative and my ideas don’t always work. Sometimes though I can salvage an error and turn it into something suitable. Maybe I was a womble in a former life (see my Song Lyric Sunday choice for 11th Sept)

      • Your work looks great to me!
