He said he could get a tune out of anything, so they decided to put him to the test.
He passed with flying colours on the piano, guitar, and saxophone. He was passable on the clarinet, tuba and violin, but second to none on the drums.
You couldn’t help but like the guy though. He was a skilled musician of many hats, always prepared to have a go, laughing at his own awkwardness or ineptitude at a particular ‘classic’, but the melodies he played were recognisable and tuneful.
Tom, who was slightly envious of him, thought he had the perfect fail and invited him to the visiting fayre.

I did enjoy this one!! We have a friend at church who plays the bagpipes. Sometimes he practices in the park -he always draws a crowd!
