The day is cool and rather pleasant after heavy rains again last night. No cutting the grass today then, and we can have a sort of quiet day as there is nothing on the calendar.
I walked Maya this morning, full marks, and that included meeting up with Jack, a miniature brown poodle that wanted to play.
Hubby test drove the new bits for Henry and they are brilliant. Not only have we saved £270 by not buying a new hoover, but this is no so easy to push and not a heavy demon like the ones I tried in the shop last week.
Stew is heating as I type, and Hubby is doing a small repair in the bathroom as we have a couple of holes on the seal, so the old has to come out and a new bead put in. Kitchenituspilferous beckoned for removal, but the knife of choice has gone AWOL (we think in the compost bin) after harvesting our cabbages. So it is a scalpel blade from my card making kit, and I shall have a new one when I come to having another session, which may be today.
Have a good day everyone and as always, keep safe.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
Busy as always, Di! We’re enjoying a free day today and will visit Bill’s sister and twin brother along with their spouses for a little family reunion. It will be nice to have an adult conversation lol!! Enjoy the rest of your day.
Thanks. You too!

I guess Thursdays are the “down” day for me too! All the cleaning and errands were accomplished earlier and today is just a “play” day! I’m finishing a couple projects so I can tidy the craft room. (just in time for starting some Christmas crafts)
As things have turned out, we have actually been pretty busy and have cut the grass!!
Maya seems to coming on in leaps and bounds 😊
We have a few good days, then she slips a bit, but progress is definitely being made.
