Roger Shipp is our host and this week has chosen an image by Christian Mackie on UnSplash
I know not what year it is,
All I do know is that I am awake.
The elements have cast aside their shackles,
My eyes can see the sky,
My nose smells the scent of the living.
Soon my mouth will be free to roar
And shake the Earth to its core.
The rock above me is crying,
Tears of release or fear, I’m not sure,
But it is not to blame.
I have a long memory.
The descendants of those responsible
For my captivity and imprisonment
Will know I have found them.
I will wreak havoc on Mankind
As inch by inch I am exposed
Towards total freedom.

Very compelling, I’d be worried
It looked like a face to me so I went with that.
It was a great idea
Nicely done di! 🙂
Thanks Carol Anne
The earth slumbers no more!! This is definitely an excellent trailer to a horror/disaster movie!!
Is that from Liz Truss’ first speech as PM?
