Share your World 5th September: my response

Here are my answers to the questions I set earlier.
1.  Do you prefer tea, coffee or juice first thing in the morning?
I’m a teapot. I cannot start my day without my morning cuppa.

2.  When it comes to food, what is your favourite smell?
Bacon. The number of times we have been walking the dog in the morning and can smell bacon cooking. It makes my mouth water.

3.  Do you prefer a take-out or to dine in a restaurant?

I can’t remember the last time we had a proper meal in a restaurant or had a take-out as they are not in our budget at the moment. Saying that, we do have coffee and a snack if we’re out. It is nice to dine out though, no washing up!

4.  If you are hosting a party, do you prepare the food yourself, get caterers in or ask    everyone to bring something for the table?
I usually prepare the food myself, baking weeks in advance and freezing it. I have never used caterers, and although I wasn’t hosting the party, I did take something for the table as an invited guest.

What has been the highlight of your week this week?

Having a £33 reduction in our buildings and contents insurance renewal!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I don’t like cooking for a lot of people. It’s very tiring.

  2. A price drop instead of a rise is definitely something to be grateful for.

Nice insurance decrease! Ours went up and up – the housing market is driving the cost up beyond reason!
