Today is Monday 22nd August

Hubby’s turn to get up to Maya at 5 this morning, he then crashed out on the settee and I got up at 6 to let her out again. It’s our routine, so not really a problem, but my back was.
Boy, did she jar me yesterday. I wasn’t ready and she shot out on my right side, which is not good for me anyway and I am paying for it today.
Hubby took her for a long walk this morning while I had a hot shower and did the housework, even my twice a week dust! It actually freed my back up a little so the pain has reduced by well over half. Mind you, the painkillers could have something to do with that. Hubby has an INR blood test at midday, but I won’t be going with him this time. We have a busy week and I am expecting three sacks of Maya’s dog food either today or tomorrow, the door man is coming to give us a quote tomorrow, Wednesday we have a vet’s appointment (though the cream is working its magic and the wound is looking much better, so depending on how it is tomorrow, will determine whether we keep it or not in which case I could go to dog class after all), Thursday Hubby has a full blood test and possibly another INR depending on what today’s numbers are, and Friday he’s at the dentist 35 miles away for 8am!

I’m shattered just thinking about it all!
Keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Your days sound like mine, minus the dog! We sit for our grands so we’re always going here and there, including doctor’s visits and physical therapy (arthritis). Thank God for that and pain killers! Carry on, my friend! We’re just getting started today!
