Sunday Whirl Wordle #565

Brenda Warren is our host and you can play along here

mind, judging, art, filters, film, mouth, puzzle, ground, mindful, wire, breeze, still

Here’s my take:

Dan backed away from the exhibit and started when an angry voice said
“Mindful where you’re walking! I’m judging here and you’re in my line of vision!”
He turned to see a Suit with a board ticking boxes on a sheet of paper.
‘Oh, so sorry,’ Dan said. ‘I was changing the film and filters in my camera, no digital you see.’
Looking at the painting under discussion, he scratched his head and continued
‘It’s a bit of a puzzle isn’t it. I mean, that huge mouth seemingly coming out of the ground, and what’s with the wire around the hole?’
‘If you read the literature, you’d understand it’s modern art and a take on dentures. Anyone with half a mind can see that!’
Dan smiled politely and lifted the camera to his eye.
‘But it’s still a little odd don’t you think? Somehow it doesn’t seem to fit with the other pieces here which are nearly all landscapes or portraits.’
The Suit sighed.
‘That’s why it’s called ‘modern’. So much better than abstract which wasn’t exactly a breeze to identify the subject matter.’
Dan laughed.
‘Modern, classic, abstract, whatever. I take my pictures for the daily rag and my editor decides which ones to use.’
With a jaunty ‘Have a good day!’ he turned on his heel and walked away.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
