It’s going to be a scorcher of a day today so Hubby is taking our friend’s daughter to the station for her 1pm train leaving Maya and I at home. I shall get our lunch when he gets back, so we’ll have a snack around 11 to tide him over.
The housework is done and washing out on the line so we are all up straight.
His blood test yesterday showed another drop and he will be tested again on Monday.
We have also changed our nominated pharmacy to the one here as queuing for over 20 minutes in the one in the next town is ridiculous as they only have one counter. The branch here is still small, but they have two till positions for purchases, plus another for prescriptions but keeping to one queue so that everyone knows where they stand (excuse pun). The staff are also nicer and nothing is too much trouble.
There is an 80s night on at the pub down the road tonight. It’s free entry and the music should be right up my street, but I wouldn’t go on my own. Hopefully it won’t be too intrusive, but if it is too loud, I can always do my dancing queen impression in the garden with Maya and I’ll probably sing along too!
Have a good weekend and keep safe everyone.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
You and Maya can have a girls day 😊
She’s been snoozing and I’ve been singing!
Perfect day then 😊
I enjoyed it as it made such a lovely change for me and I really got stuck in.
It is so amazing because in the US there is a CVS or Walgreens for getting prescription drugs, or anything else for that matter, on every other corner in all the towns and cities! When I visit my dad I drive by three!
As far as the pub…Sounds like a good time!
I won’t go though, but hope to listen without having my ears blasted.
We just went to a concert and surprisingly it wasn’t crazy loud. I think because the venue was so small.
We didn’t hear a thing so don’t know if it happened or not as I haven’t seen anyone to ask!
What time is it where you are now? I find it so neat when I am writing back and forth with people who are so far away! Technology is great for some things!
It’s 3.40 in the afternoon here. Technology is good for that and I used to skype my brother in NZ
You know when I first started blogging I didn’t give much thought to the time difference because some people only go on sporadically. But then I would see your blog, for example, and your day is already winding down while mine is starting. Blows my mind!
It does make the world seem that much smaller doesn’t it. I try to take into account time differences which is why I post my challenges early.
I hope your husband’s numbers start to normalize!! This is worrying! The 80s night sounds fun – I hope you can go!
I won’t go on my own, but Covid has been raising its head locally again. However there is nothing to stop me listening when I walk the dog later!
Hopefully we should see a turn in the right direction when he has his blood test on Monday. He had a course of 5 tummy injections too and the last one is tomorrow.
Hope all went well today and you have a good evening 💜💜
I’ve had a good afternoon making cards, and eaten exceptionally well!!
Well done you 💜😊
