The day started at 5am and the sky was on fire. I let Maya out for a wee then got her breakfast. This seems to be our usual routine and it’s working out quite well which surprises me as I’m not an early riser as a rule. Since Hubby and I share the early morning starts, things have been a lot better and I’m not so tired.
He got up at 6 and we had breakfast, her interest immediate in the yogurt pot.
Hubby walked her first thing and once again most of it was off lead. I haven’t the confidence yet, but it will come. Our walk last night was very good and if she hadn’t lunged after the rabbits in the road, would have been full marks. Saying that though, once she realised she was not going to play chase, she settled down again into a rhythm.
Hubby has just gone off for his blood test. Having been on antibiotics, this is a precautionary measure to make sure the numbers aren’t too far out of range. This afternoon he has another appointment about his hand which may well result in another injection. There is a surgical procedure they can do that takes minutes, so that will be the next option if a second injection fails.
We are going in early though so that I can do the banking and organise things for the coming month. It is hard to believe Monday is August 1st.
Yes, this year seems to be in one hell of a hurry, Di …
tell me about it!!!!!!!! I’m already thinking about making my Christmas cards!
July has just flown past, I’m hoping August will be a little warmer 😊
We can expect another heatwave next week……….
It’s 2 here and I’m off to work 🙁
It’s been a long day 💜
Maya is a very good girl! She deserves a little yogurt! I hope the injection works for your husband – I’d do anything to avoid the knife!
As it turned out, the first injection had done the job and the problem would need specialist treatment to correct, but success is not guaranteed. As he says, he can live with it, but if it gets worse in the next 6 months, he can be referred to said specialist (100 miles away) without having to go through our GP.
Hows his hand now Di? Did the injection work?
The injection worked OK, but he still has a problem which is down to arthritis. There is a surgical procedure but it doesn’t always work, but at the moment he can live with it so is taking each day as it comes. Thanks for asking.
