SoCS for 23rd July.

Linda Hill is our host and an interesting SoCS this week!
“Open (if necessary) the closest printed matter to you. Use the first 2-5 words at the top of the page any way you’d like in your post”.

Well, what can I say?
Sitting here in our lounge, the only printed matter in close proximity is my food diary, and opening the cover I am faced with YEAR PLANNER.
Great……….. not.
So apart from diarising Hubby and my meals every day on the relevant pages within, the full Year Planner is practically empty apart from my having marked the Easter weekend in April and having Sundays ringed. The latter could be for texting in my weight to SW, but there are no annotations so that’s anyone’s guess and they stop on June 11th.
I only use this diary for food entries, as birthdays and anniversaries are listed in my address book, and our calendar of appointments is hanging on the wall in the kitchen.
I use an academic diary for the weekly meter readings so that I can record the winter months in one diary rather than two. I also compare the previous two years usage for comparison.
What a bore!
However, our year so far has been blessed in finding Maya in February and bringing her home on the 24th. The weight recorded that day (a Thursday) was just under target.
Wonder what I’d done to get there………………………..

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. Lots of hard work? Dedication and stick-to-it ness is one major key to good weight loss with stability (not gaining it all back). I have said it before, I really admire your diet story!
