While Hubby was up the road putting a garden chest together, I got the kit out and made some Hello cards as previously mentioned using some of the photos of Maya.
Our boating friends were deeply saddened when we lost Maggie, and I have been promising to send them a photo of Maya for a while. What better than a specialised Hello card for the occasion.
You will probably remember the original photos:
You might also remember this taken May 23rd:
I’ve just taken this (8.15 pm)
Note the dividing line on the settee: she now extends past two.
Meanwhile up the road, the chest had gone together very well and the old one, complete with a sign that said ‘Free to good home, broken lid’ put on our neighbour’s drive. It was taken in less than half an hour.
I love these cards, what a wonderful idea. They will be loved π₯°
I hope so.
Great cards! The one of Maya looking directly at the camera is so very good!! I’m sure everyone will love them. And she is such a big girl! It is hard to judge the changes but with the photos for comparison – wow!
We still think she grows an inch every time she stretches. She’s filling out now and packing on the muscle. Checking various sites for weight guidance, she’s a bit on the heavy side for an American Shepherd (which tend to be smaller as a rule) but elsewhere she’s about right. When we last saw the vet, he said her weight was good and to expect a gain of about a pound a week so we are on course for that. We are also complying with the food quantity guide on the back of her food sacks, and she’s about to go into the next bracket. As long as it’s not too much which we’ll soon know clearing up after her, it’s a good guide.
Lovely cards. Your girl is growing up fast.
She is, and that’s been proven today as she’s come into season.

A good days work for you both π
I shall be writing my cards over the weekend.
Excellent π
I bet your boating friends are going to love their hello cards! Glad you had fun making them!
Thank you. One friend has already rung me to say she thinks Maya is beautiful.
