Cards and a chest

While Hubby was up the road putting a garden chest together, I got the kit out and made some Hello cards as previously mentioned using some of the photos of Maya.
Our boating friends were deeply saddened when we lost Maggie, and I have been promising to send them a photo of Maya for a while. What better than a specialised Hello card for the occasion.
You will probably remember the original photos:

You might also remember this taken May 23rd:
I’ve just taken this (8.15 pm)

Note the dividing line on the settee: she now extends past two.

Meanwhile up the road, the chest had gone together very well and the old one, complete with a sign that said ‘Free to good home, broken lid’ put on our neighbour’s drive. It was taken in less than half an hour.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Great cards! The one of Maya looking directly at the camera is so very good!! I’m sure everyone will love them. And she is such a big girl! It is hard to judge the changes but with the photos for comparison – wow!

    • We still think she grows an inch every time she stretches. She’s filling out now and packing on the muscle. Checking various sites for weight guidance, she’s a bit on the heavy side for an American Shepherd (which tend to be smaller as a rule) but elsewhere she’s about right. When we last saw the vet, he said her weight was good and to expect a gain of about a pound a week so we are on course for that. We are also complying with the food quantity guide on the back of her food sacks, and she’s about to go into the next bracket. As long as it’s not too much which we’ll soon know clearing up after her, it’s a good guide.
