Sunday Poser # 89

Sadje is our host for the Sunday Poser.  This week
What makes you want to comment on a post?
A blogger who follows many blogs knows that it’s not possible to read all the posts from all the bloggers they follow every day. How do you choose which posts to read and on which posts to comment?
How do you handle the reading and commenting on the blogs you follow?

My response:

The blogs I chose to follow appeal to me for a variety of reasons, they have pets, they’re funny, they set challenges, they’re informative or they pick a headline/title that piques my interest.
I read every post triggered by either my 3TC or my turn to host Fibbing Friday, and for bloggers I don’t follow who respond, I pick up their post from the pingback they leave.
It’s very important to me to acknowledge them, usually with a like, even if I don’t comment on them all.
If I feel I have something relevant to say on a particular post, I will leave a comment, sometimes commenting on a comment left by somebody else.

Lately, my inspiration has waned substantially and I’m not taking part in as many challenges as I used to. Coupled with that, some of the challenges I enjoyed have now disappeared.
I also confess that I don’t necessarily read all of the posts in my reader now as some are either way over my head, so long winded I lose the plot or interest, or it simply doesn’t appeal.  Time is also a factor as there are days when I don’t access my blog until the early evening and it’s hopeless trying to catch up.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    I love the like button!
I comment on as many as I can! I have a lot to read! 😀

I will comment if I particularly like or enjoy reading the post or if it strikes a relative thought. If you see my like icon I have read it. Everyone loves comments and they serve to make a community

I get you Di! Not every day is conducive to reading blogs.

    Good honest answer Di 💜

  5. Lives change and schedules get busier or they get easier. Having a new ‘baby’, it’s understandable that your focus should be on her. And our interests change too. A blog once followed that was a never miss, may in the future turn into a ‘skimmer’ (blogs that I skim over). You do a great job with the prompts you have, and right now (and maybe going forward) on-life and real life aren’t easy to balance. Good on you for keeping on though!

It is difficult to stay engaged, but I always think that acknowledging gives a great positive vibe

My blog doesn’t have very many followers in the larger scheme of things and of those I only have maybe 20 people who comment on a regular basis so I answer all comments on my blog. As for the people I follow I attempt to read every one and comment when I have something to say. There are a few who get a quick read and a like but most get a comment.
